At the start of the pandemic, while working as a producer on WNYC's national daily news show "The Takeaway," I started reaching out to stand up comedians to see how the pause on live comedy was impacting their lives. What was initially intended to be a single segment turned into this multi-part series featuring some of the most exciting comics working in today's changing comedy world, including Ziwe Fumudoh, Roy Wood Jr., and Samantha Bee.
